Republican Party of Texas Focuses on Hispanic Issues
Duke Machado, GOPisForMe.com and Steve Munisteri, Chairman, Republican Party of Texas
Anyone can see America is at its tipping point. Lying in the balance are Hispanics, most weighing in on the Democratic side of the scale.
When it comes to the Hispanic issue, in the past, the Republican Party has done like many people do in their private lives…they avoid the issue. It’s not until the power is turned off by the electric company that we decide to pay the bill.
The perceptions held by many Hispanics only exists because the Republican Party has not been willing to do the work…and why is that? It’s because most of the “old Guard” Republicans don’t relate to Hispanics. They thought Hispanics were just liberals who wanted to hide in the shadows and not participate in the political process…but they were wrong. Hispanics do want to participate…they do want their voice heard…
Unfortunately, the Democrats saw the Hispanic community as the perfect place to harvest new votes. We now know their intentions weren’t genuine…rather, they were manipulative. To Democrats, Hispanics were security, a never ending supply of needy people. All they had to do was over-promise and under-deliver…make Hispanics feel they were important and they would just follow along like sheep.
Well, it worked. Now, the Hispanic community is falling apart. Highest Teen pregnancy rates, lowest graduation rates and family structure eroding. Another thing eroding…Christianity.
Because of this, the moral fiber of the community is destroyed. Everything our grandparents taught us no longer applies. If it feels good…do it. Back in the day…we’d be humiliated by our grandparents if we did wrong. Now they’re gone and the advice comes from Liberal politicians who spew lies and misrepresent the truth.
When one wants to conquer a people, the best way to do it is to remove hope and their will to fight. If you ask young Hispanics about politics…their common response is “It’s all “fixed”…all corrupt.” They feel they have no voice…that the nation is run by a handful of people who are all in it for the money…and of course…they associate those people with Republicans.
They have already lost hope.
Enter Steve Munisteri, Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas. His desire to be more inclusive and open with the Party is like a breath of fresh air. It is the energy needed to advance this daunting task of inclusion.
He has requested and has received fuunding from Lt. Governor David Dewhurst to provide a dedicated Outreach Director, Justin Hollis. A leader leads, and Munisteri isn't looking at the past, he's focused on the future. He knows where the Party's future lies, and is 110% determined to change the course of history.
Hispanic Organization leaders gathered in Austin,TX to meet with the newly elected Chairman to discuss ideas and get to know him on a personal level. It was the first time in R.P.T. history an event like this took place, and long overdue.
On the table...everything and anything.
New process, new leadership, new players and a new vision...all culminating in one place with a focus on what must happen to keep Texas Red...
Our State Republican Executive Committee members are in this for the long haul, putting in the time and energy to make a difference...investing their personal dollars toward the movement. People like Janet Jackson, Co-Founder of GOPisForMe.com and SREC Committee woman SD-22 and Jane Burch, SREC from North Texas region are all doing the work and walking the walk.
We’ve got our work cut-out for us…and as I have stated before…those of us on the Republican/Conservative side will face the brunt of the attacks from the Lib’s. They’ll paint us as traitors and sell-outs…but it’s the price we must be willing to pay if we are to re-gain the trust of the community.
They must believe we are here to stay…not just for this election or the next.
Our movement is dedicated to building Hispanic Republican Clubs…the foundation for long-term development and inclusion within the Party. We are building the network of “Boots on the ground.” People who aren’t interested in climbing the political ladder…rather, we’re in the trenches…where most of the battle must take place.
And it is a battle…make no mistake. The record will show that we were instrumental in the fight to save America!
A Letter to Conservative Hispanics
Someone asked me to sum up what needed to be done to develop the Hispanic conservative base. It’s a question I run across more and more, proving to me, people are genuinely interested in advancing the community.
First, in my opinion, it doesn’t take an army of people in the beginning. A handful of people in each county, committed to WORKing to undo the Liberal agenda at work in most neighborhoods, can be enough to tip the scales at the voting booth.
Yes, we need to develop the “boots on the ground” across the state, but only after the core group of activists are seen working the community, attending Pro-Life events, going to church functions and spreading the word of conservatism.
I was talking to someone the other day...a Christian woman, very upset about the path our country is on. I started to talk about what I do...building the Republican Party through Hispanic conservative inclusion. She said, “Well...I’m not political.” I replied, “ Well...being political simply means you are paying attention to policy that affects your life...and whether you want to believe it or not...you have political views.”
Hispanics are for the most part leery of any group or Party coming into their neighborhoods talking about politics. In most Hispanic families, politics is a dirty word. Republicans are the “bad” guys who want to rob them of what little they have. This is what the children are taught...I know...it was this way when I grew up.
This is how it goes...
You may see people coming into your neighborhoods...talking about how they want to help you. Don’t listen to them. They are liars. They don’t care about you or your family...all they want is your money.
If they cared about you...why are they just now coming around? Where have they been? They don’t know what it’s like in our homes. They don’t know how we live.
It’s the Democrats who have taken care of you. We have been there...helping you get the money you deserve. We have been there...not them. They want to send everyone back to Mexico if they have their way. Don’t let them fool you...we’ll take care of you...vote for a Democrat and you will have people in power who will help you when you need it.
It’s “easier” to just live and stay out of politics...continue voting for people who keep Hispanics repressed. No one wants to hear they’ve been misled. Who wants to talk about the hard work that lies ahead?
I see it like a scale...tipping toward laziness and hopelessness. The truth is Democrats have been misleading the people...making empty promises and raising their taxes to support the massive spending initiatives they produce. Just look at their platform. Do Hispanics cry out and express their discontent?
Of course not. Most don’t even realize what’s happening to them. All they know is they have to work longer hours and second jobs just to keep up. They blame it on Republicans...because that’s what they’ve been taught.
We have our work cut out for us, but to those of you who are assembling...like the many patriotic Hispanics I am beginning to know, it’s just beginning.
We must be willing to take the punishment. Our own people will call us traitors. They will paint us as sell-outs and dis-loyal Hispanics.
But we know the truth...and as they say...the truth shall set us free. Knowledge is power as Dr. Martin Luther King proclaimed. Democrats are fearful we will educate the Hispanic community and diminish their grip...and they should be.
The Republican Party freed the Slaves. The Republican Party believes in family values like Life, God and prayer. The Republican Party believes marriage is defined as between a man and a woman. The Republican Party wants to keep your taxes low, leaving more money in your pocket.
We have God on our side, His wisdom and guidance will pierce the hearts of the people...they will see the light at the end of the tunnel. It is up to us to restore hope and instill pride in America. We conservative Hispanics must remind everyone that America is the land of the FREE and the home of the BRAVE.
Our ancestors came to America to build a future for their family. They fled oppressive governments and unrestricted, corrupt police. Now, after 50-60 years, many Hispanics have forgotten who they are and why they’re here. It was FREEDOM that led them here. The ability to build a business without limits. To succeed in life and prosper...as our great-grandparents dreamed for us.
It’s our duty to reach into the Hispanic community and share our knowledge, advance our children and build a brighter future. That’s the way I see it...how about you?
What do American Hispanics Want?
What do American Hispanics Want? The same thing everyone else wants...the freedom to pursue the American Dream! We want safe neighborhoods to raise our kids, schools that aren't brainwashing our youth, a high quality education, and high paying jobs to support our families and provide a better than average lifestyle. We want to build thriving businesses to pass on to our grandchildren. We want to have memorable birthday parties in the backyard and want to sit at the closing table as we purchase our new homes.
The thing about America is it
can all happen...for now.
Freedom is being threatened. Government unchecked is a dangerous thing, and when the people in charge have bad intentions...you better watch out! We're suffering as a Nation because the people never had the opportunity to learn about their Presidential candidates. The truth about Barak Obama remained a deep, dark secret and the mainstream media was in the mix.
Networks like CNN, MSNBC and groups like Organizing for America and Media Matters began reporting on things that only favored their candidate rather than dig into his past. The people were fed propaganda and misinformation in order to secure the election and it worked. We now have someone running our country who has never held a real job in his life. Millions of patriotic Americans are at his mercy and many who initially supported Obama now realize his inadequate experience.
How could people be so naive? We can ask the same of the Argentinians...and the Germans. We can ask the Mexicans, who also lost their freedoms. Could they see it coming? I think so, but when the assault comes from within, it's difficult to spot, especially with a supportive media.
Now the cloak of "change" is realized. President Obama and his Administration assumed we would follow him blindly, holding his hand as he leads us to our destruction. He thought we wouldn't ask questions or complain once we discovered the details of his plans.
He has underestimated Hispanic faith and family values. He doesn't know what life's like in our homes. He doesn't realize most Hispanics pray the rosary as a family every night before bed. He doesn't comprehend the genuine love that exists within the family, which drives us all to want more for our children.
He comes from a broken home. His background is that of a child raised in a Muslim Nation. We now know of his multiple relationships with people who want to destroy America as we know it. He tries to deny his relationships with tyrannical leftists, but we're not buying it. They believe in a different kind of America. One that is more "fair" and "humane."
They want to "level the playing field"...so Illegals and the "less fortunate" can receive the same benefits as you and I. They think they have the
right to take our money and
give it to someone who doesn't have a job and isn't looking for one. Why should they get our money? They don't deserve it!
What's happened is the "less fortunate" have fallen into the trap...like the ant who accidentally walks into an ant devil's trap.
As the ant tries to escape, the ant devil scoops the dirt from below it's legs until the ant is exhausted and gives up. The Ant Devil lunges from beneath the dirt and clamps on to the ant and feasts on it's prey.
Are we the "ants" trying to escape?
I was in New Orleans a few weeks after Katrina hit. I'd never seen so many people completely dependent on the government, in one place. Generations of people receiving welfare, housing income and benefits. Many of them were young, healthy people...with no desire to work.
That is the America Obama envisions. A class of society depending on the government to provide for them. A perfect example of how their plan creeps into your life is Health Care.
Today, if you have health insurance, you're considered to be one of the lucky. Although you pay for it, the fact you have insurance means you have the money to pay for it. But what happens when employers are faced with the fines and mandates in order to abide by the law? Many of them will realize it is much more cost-effective to drop their company insurance and pay the fines. What does that do to the common American who depends on their employer for health insurance benefits?
They have to go elsewhere. They can pay for increased insurance rates or pay for something they can afford...government health care. You might hear supporters of this bill say it's better than not having insurance at all. But what are the consequences?
Well Mr. Obama...we see right through you. We know what you're up to and we're gonna do all we can to counter your destructive initiatives like Amnesty, Health Care and the "Nail in the Coffin"-Cap and Tax.
Hispanics should not be fooled by the rhetoric. It's the same story the Democrats have been preaching for decades, but it's up to each individual to break the cycle and stand up for what's right in America. It's time to fight for your Freedom before it's too late.
Right now, President Obama is beginning to look like the Roman Emperor - Nero. His total disregard for following the will of the people is similar to that of a dictator and his administration's involvement or lack thereof of the investigation into how the New Black Panther Group intimidates voters at polling stations is telling.
You don't have to be a political activist or candidate for congress to do something about it. If you're tired of watching the circus and are ready to take action, meet us on Monday Nights at Bill Flores for Congress H.Q.'s in Waco,TX. We need to support those who understand what's at stake and Bill Flores understands how important it is to preserve Freedom for all Americans and our future generations.

WWII Veteran, "This Country's in Big Trouble!"
Al Pierson, a WWII Naval Veteran who served from 1941 through 1949 on cruisers and aircraft carriers explains just how much trouble America is in due to years of the degradation of Christianity. As a young man, 17 years old, Pierson began his Naval career patrolling the Eastern coast of the united States. His ships sailed to Scotland and protected the Atlantic waters separating the US from Europe.
After his first tour in the Atlantic, his ship came in for refurbishing and the sailors were in for some R & R. He was on leave in New Jersey, luckily, the ship was docked in Rhoad Island.
While on leave, the US declared War on Japan, and Al was immediately recalled to his ship. When his Cruiser returned to duty, he was headed for the Pacific. Part of
Task Force 58 , led by Admiral Halsey, he experienced life at sea during some of the most ferocious island warfare in history. They took the Pacific islands occupied by Japan.
He was in the Japanese harbor when the treaty was signed.
We asked him his thoughts on the current situation in America and how it compares to the critical situation we faced during WWII.

Should the Republican Party Address the Border Issue?
This question of what to do with the border has been on my mind for some time now. First, let's acknowledge that there is a problem. Let's accept the facts as they exist. Texas border towns are in a state of constant crisis. Gangs and Drug Lords rule the streets. The police are out numbered and out gunned.
View EXCLUSIVE Border Footage Our own American brothers and sisters are screaming from the top of their lungs, "Help Us!"
Can anyone hear them? Is anyone responding?
Native born or naturalized citizens just like you and I should not live under the control of lawless gang leaders and mafioso. We all deserve the right to live with law and order and our fellow Texans along the border are under siege.
This past weekend many of us were in Dallas, filling our minds with the platform of the Republican Party. The Governor was committing to developing Jobs, providing affordable Health care, and ensuring our border is secure.
But in several Texas cities along the border, Drug Cartels call the shots. They run the show. If they want someone kidnapped, it happens. If they want someone killed...it happens too.
How much longer will the Republican Party turn its back on what's happening along our border? Should we make a stand for what's right and define ourselves as being truly interested in coming up with solutions?
A recent conversation may provide some insight. I was visiting with some Hispanics, legal since 1989. I asked them their thoughts on the border. One shrugged his shoulders and said " You can't even go to Mexico anymore. If you do, you better not take a nice car, or they'll see your Texas plates and just take your car from you. The police will do nothing. It doesn't even matter if you're Mexican...if they see you, they'll TAKE your car!"
I believe it is time to draw attention to the reality facing our fellow citizens along the border. We would all like to cover our eyes and wish this nightmare away, but it will only get worse.
We must stand together for what's right. We say we support our Constitution. Would our founding fathers approve of our tattered border? Would they allow our citizens to feel threatened in their own homes?
I don't think so!
To all Hispanics/Latinos...Are you an American or not? If so, do you proudly say the Pledge of Allegiance? Are you proud to be an American? Are you supportive of our Military? Do you believe in God? Do you believe our country was founded on His principles?
If you answered YES to these questions, then you are on the right side of history. You have more in common with the Republican Party than the Democrat Party.
If you are a Hispanic and do not claim America as your country, then we ask that you leave our country. There isn't room for non-patriots. When we begin the process of turning the tide along the border, we must know who's on our side.
My grandfather stormed Omaha beach. He fought for our right to live as FREE men and women in this country. He wouldn't have tolerated the mafia-style tactics being employed on Texas citizens. He would have stood up and spoken on the issue.
My question for you is this...If we (Republicans) come out and state our intentions...to re-claim our territory lost to Drug Lords, secure our borders by any means necessary and provide an environment for Americans to thrive, will the Republican Party be on board or will they run from it?
Texas Elects New Republican Party Leader
Dallas, TX
June 12, 2010
In a landslide victory, Texas Republican Delegates elect a Grass-Roots mobilizer and long-term Republican Activist as its new leader.
Steve Munisteri, credited with founding the Young Conservatives of Texas organization, capitalized on his many volunteers. At every corner, down every hallway and in every caucus, you ran into Munisteri supporters and volunteers.
From the multiple mailers received at home, to the constant display of his signs and stickers, it was clear Munisteri was there to win.
His vibrant speech and charismatic delivery resonated with the delegates, and by day's end, he was elected as the new Leader for the Republican Party in Texas.
What can we expect from him?
It was also evident he is a firm believer in the power of Grass-Roots development. He spoke of inclusion of all Republicans and the desire to work with all newly elected SREC representatives.
Then, in a show of gratitude to his Young Conservatives, he welcomed them to the stage to join his new SREC members and congratulated them on their victory.
He spoke of the threats that face this state from the Federal level and vowed to keep Texas citizens from being forced to participate in Obamacare. He also assured the delegates he would fight cap and tax as well as any other initiative that impeded on the economy of Texas.
He is definitely for securing the border and will press the Federal government to "do its job!" by protecting the citizens of Texas.
We can all rest assured, Steve Munisteri is the real deal. He's ready to go to work on day 1, and will do so on a Full-Time basis. As many know, the State Chairman's position is a non-paying one, and requires an incredible amount of time and personal financial participation to be successful.
He ended by saying," I look forward to serving you...starting on Monday!"
Unpatriotic American (?) High School Students disprespect US Flag
Montebello High School, California
What makes these kids think they can take our Flag down, hang it upside down and place the Mexican Flag above it?
Traitors! Each and every one of them.
You're NOT an American if you take it this far. They made a choice to disrespect all Real Americans and it makes me sick to see them smiling and laughing with total disregard for the hundreds of thousands of Americans who died for them to have the freedoms they now abuse.
Sure, life is difficult in Mexico, but is this how you treat the Country that's taken in so many Mexicans, given them food, shelter, government assistance and made it easy for them to have complete health care for their families?
Sure, Illegals come here to have a better life, but these people aren't here to integrate peacefully. They're infiltrating. They believe the momentum of Socialism is on their side and the time to strike is now...while the irons are still Hot.
The issue is many Hispanics don't have allegiance to this country. Many in the Liberal media or on the left assume that Illegal Hispanics want to be Americans and vote for a better future.
The reality is that most don't want anything to do with becoming a Citizen. They don't care about our ideology or principles. They're just here to scam the system and send money back home to their families.
People used to come here following a dream to prosper. Now they're following a dream alright...a free ride.
Not so fast...
We're calling you out...we're forcing you to pick a side.
As the old saying goes..."You're either with us...or against us." In this case...you're either with U.S. or you're against U.S.

Crocker calls Sibley out on Donations to Democrats
“Republicans should not be surprised to learn that since leaving office, David Sibley has not only enjoyed a lucrative career as a lobbyist.
He’s played the game well – donating more than 200 times and over $112,000 - to liberal Democrats like Jim Dunnam, Pete Gallego, Kirk Watson, Mike Moncrief and many, many more.
As an Austin lobbyist, he even funded the San Patricio County Democratic Party in South Texas.
With that kind of record it’s no wonder he wants to use the courts to keep a true conservative Republican like Brian Birdwell off the ballot.
Families with loved ones in military service, and every patriotic resident of District 22, should also be outraged that Mr. Sibley and his lobbyist friends are seeking to question Brian’s residence while he was out of the state on military duty and for treatment of service-related injuries, and prevent voters from having a real choice on May 8.”You may have heard that David Sibley filed suit to keep Lt. Col. (Ret.) Brian Birdwell off the May 8th ballot.
I wanted you to have the following statement which I released today to the media, along with a spreadsheet of contributions which David Sibley has made to numerous Democrats over the past several years.

Perry walks tightrope between Hispanic voters, conservative base
By Corrie MacLagganAMERICAN-STATEMAN STAFF
When giving directions to Gov. Rick Perry's downtown Austin campaign headquarters, new press secretary Alejandro Garcia didn't mention obvious landmarks such as the Omni hotel. Instead he asked, "Do you know where the Mexican Consulate is?"That may reveal something about Garcia's focus. Inside Perry's campaign office across Brazos Street from where the consulate was located until this month, Garcia is working to disseminate Perry's message in Spanish and English to Hispanic — mainly Mexican American — voters.
Though most Hispanic voters are not likely to side with the Republican governor in his re-election contest in November against Democrat Bill White, that isn't stopping Perry from working to get their vote. Last week, he was in Mission to accept the endorsements of about 30 Rio Grande Valley elected officials. This week, he spoke at the Generation Adelante/Generación Forward college fairs in Corpus Christi and San Antonio. And he's registered his discontent with the recently passed Arizona law — hugely unpopular with Hispanics — that cracks down on undocumented immigrants.
But for a conservative politician such as Perry, it's a delicate balance.
